Shipping Information
All Packages are "Signature Required"
Due to the perishable nature of our chocolates, we take special care to ensure the delivery of your chocolates in perfect condition. Each package comes surrounded by packing materials and a personalized gift message. We pack each box with special insulation and ice. All orders will require a signature upon delivery unless you choose "Signature Release" as the shipping methods. This means you assume all risk. We are not responsible if the recipient is not home to sign for the package.
Also, please make sure to double check your responses to our various website prompts. We want to make sure that we are able to accurately process your order. The details of your name, billing address, shipping address and mode of payment are critical. We cannot be responsible for errors in information that is provided to us. Costs resulting from such errors will be charged to you.
All Packages are Sent FedEx Standard Next Day:
J Dorian Chocolatier offers year-round shipping to our customers. Shipping rates are determined by the weight of the order and the distance of the shipment. We ship exclusively with Fedex and transit times vary depending on destination. Overnight delivery is available Monday-Thursday(If you require a Saturday delivery, please telephone us. Saturday delivery rates will apply). All orders are shipped "signature required" which means the recipient must be available to sign for the package at delivery. If you choose the Signature Release option, it means you want Fedex to leave the pacakge without obtaining a signature. Neither Fedex or J Dorian Chocolatier will be responsible if the the package is lost or stolen after delivery when you have requested this option.
When will my Order Ship:
Internet orders are processed at 8:00 am according to the above referenced shipping schedule. If you are placing your order after 8:00 am, it will be shipped the following day according to the shipping schedule. Orders are not shipped on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays. The shipment schedule is based on the date your order is received. You will receive email confirmation when your order is shipped.
No International Orders:
We do not ship to international destinations. Please note that we cannot ship to P.O. Boxes. You must provide a street address for your order. We are not responsible for delays caused by Federal Express due to weather or mechanical error and are not able to offer refunds for those reasons.
No PO Boxes:
Please note that we cannot ship to P.O. Boxes. You must provide a street address for your order. Be sure to include the appropriate suite or apartment numbers when necessary to ensure proper delivery. We will not be responsible for delays caused by events beyond our control including strikes, natural disasters or weather emergencies.
